"Max is so stupid he almost died. 11-14-14"
Last time I wrote a blog it was about my " haunted bathroom". What I didn't tell you guys was the after math. It was probably the weirdest scenario I've ever witnessed.
So here is the story. Max got freaked out by something (himself) and decided to run upstairs. I didn't think too much of it until I heard his meow. Not the come and love meow but the I feel threatened meow!! I quickly walked over to the staircase where I heard him and before I even put one foot on the stair Max fell from the top. I was in such shock that I stood there for a couple seconds trying to process what the hell just happened. I was trying to remember how many lives cats have. 7? 8? Maybe it was 6. I decided to google it, 8. Its 8!
Max was just laying there. Thankfully breathing but just laying there. Luckily at that time my mother was coming through the front door. I told her what happened to me and she told me her very interesting culture belief.
My mom told me that in her Hispanic culture cats are believed to only have 7 lives. At this time I was freaking out because Max falls off the staircase regularly. Maybe he is stupid or maybe he is just afraid and has no other choice. Who knows.
I was very interested to know why cats are said to have 9 lives but in other cultures believed to have 7? Or even 6? I was up for a couple hours trying to figure it out and I did.
After all my research I came to the conclusion that cats don't really have 9 lives. They are said that they do because they have the ability to jump and land without truly getting hurt or wounded. Although research states that cats don't have 9 lives a lot of cultures think otherwise. A lot of Spanish-speaking regions believe that cats really do have 7 lives (guess my mom had a point). While in Turkish and Arabic legends believe they have only 6. I will stick to the fact that Max has 1 life but will always hope he has unlimited.

Haunted or not.........
Since day one Max has always had his litter box in the downstairs bathroom. It has never changed but lately I've been debating whether to move it or not. I feel as if Max rather hold in his pee than even enter that bathroom. There is never a day that he does not leave that bathroom hissing. I don't know if he scares himself or if something scares him. Don't get me wrong if I could physically ask him and get an answer I would but that won't happen. I feel as if he spends too much time in the upstairs bathrooms that he doesn't like the one downstairs.
I mean come on this looks like a perfectly normal bathroom. What can Max possibly not like, it's so pretty. He has never really liked the toilet paper roll but that's because he's kind of dumb.
Max has his litter on the left corner of the bathroom as soon as you walk in. This has always been the exact location and to me it seems perfectly normal.
Nibbles
Ever since I got Max he has had a thing for biting, or as my family says nibbling. Teeth as pointy as a needle. It's a bit scary actually. Max bites toes and fingers or anything that fits half way in his mouth. Oh what pain he causes. When he was a baby we didn't mind but now its almost unbearable. The most common nibbles are the bed nibbles. He jumps up on your bed, finds your toes and BAM! The "nibble" wakes you up. My first reaction is to just kick him off the bed because what kind of crazy kitten decides to wake you up like that? This happens all the time so everyone expects to be woken up by Max. Solution: Close bedroom doors. I cannot wait until his baby teeth fall out because trust me my family is over it. The last most common nibble is the couch nibble. Max has moments when all he wants is love and affection. When this happens he climbs on the couch, finds your lap and lays back. It takes a couple minutes until he decides to "nibble" your fingers. He does it so hard it surprises you because he is so small but man is he vicious.
