MAX IS DEAD

  People always say "you can not teach your cat to do tricks". I beg to differ. I did! I actually wanted to get a puppy but my sister got me a kitten instead. This automatically gave me an epiphany. Once my kitten gets older and some what wiser, I will teach him tricks.
    The first trick I wanted him to learn was to sit. I thought this would be the easiest and most fastest thing to learn. Boy was I wrong. I tried this for about two weeks and nothing. All I got out of this experience was a couple scratches and a ton of hissing. I decided to move on.
     The second trick I wanted to teach him was to play dead. I spent one long hard month training Max to master this trick. At first,I didn't believe he would understand what I meant by play dead. But he sure did. He lays there with his head slightly tilted to the side, paws in the air and plays dead. Just like this....

 

       I still cannot believe my cat can play dead. It is so amazing to me. I can now proudly tell people "my cat does tricks would you like to see?" and of course they say yes. Max will always continue to make me proud and blow my mind every step of the way. Max will forever be my not so purrrrfect cat.
